As a United fan writing this a few days after Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions I’ve already got both eyes firmly on this Summer’s World Cup in Russia. The hosts will meet Saudi Arabia in the opening match in Moscow on June 14th and there is a cracking early line up with Portugal vs Spain playing the day after on the 15th.
I know most people will be eyeing up the nearest pub for the first England game against Tunisia on the 18th June which even with the time difference is on at 7pm (yay) but on a Monday (boo).
We’ve noticed a number of enquiries coming in from clients for anything from updated CCTV systems to full Audio Visual packages in readiness for kick off. Its not just pubs and bars we’ve had enquiries from but Activity Parks, Trampoline Parks and even the odd forward-thinking gym are going to be showing the game…Come On England!
With that in mind I thought it would be well worth sharing some top tips for Russia 2018
1. Start Planning Now!
I don’t think there’s anything more annoying than finding a pub that screams and shouts about having the game on only to get inside and find that only have one tiny screen tucked away in the back. The right sized screen in the right place and multi-directional speakers so that sound levels can be managed ensures that those who want to listen to the game can get a great atmosphere, while those with less interest can have their pint in peace.
Trialling your set up and seeing whether you need some handy extra screens well in advance will enhance your whole customer experience. If you're unsure on what technology to use give us a shout we’ll happily advise you on the most suitable architecture to maximise your venue with integrated systems that work smoothly so you can concentrate on your clientele.
It’s not too late either as we can install a system from order to completion in a few weeks so get in touch now!
2. Efficiency is key
There’s no point hosting the game if your customers can’t get a drink at the bar. Prepare for the halftime hurry with our integrated EPOS Systems.
Hardware, Software, Networking… come talk to us. Our relationships with suppliers reduces the need for multiple supplier relationships and reduces overall costs. Less calls to them, more time running your event….simple!
We can even help you keep your customers entertained whilst visiting your facility. Music and video solutions with full licensing options are available to keep your venue full long after the game has finished.
3. Practice, Practice, Practice….
….or sit down and do nothing, wrapped in cotton wool if you are Harry Kane. The next few weeks offer fantastic opportunities for venues to trial run the systems to see if they are up to scratch. A couple of semi-finals and the champions league and FA Cup final are some top-notch games to get on the big screen.
This will give you a chance to see how your new setup fairs in a ‘live’ setting and also give you some ideas about the kitchen workload and how to manage your staff ahead of the tournament.
4. Keep your customers and premises safe!
Pubs are a place where people go to unwind and relax with their friends and to have a good time. As an England fan however they are place where you go to bite your nails, swear a little too much and complain about our midfield's lack of ‘big game’ experience in tournaments to the stranger sat next to you.
Joking apart, we build unobtrusive security solutions that do not affect the atmosphere of your venue, creating environments where your customers can feel safe and relaxed.
With advanced, state of the art systems, we are now able to supply a solution that will not only record your customers and staff but at the same time collect vital information from your EPOS system tie that all together and help reduce fraudulent transactions. Secure venue, safe systems and a lot of happy customers.
It also might be worth investing in some PET plastic pint pots as if we score and the roof comes off those beers will go flying! Come on England!
